Going Local! Local Food Challenge
About This Campaign
Hi Everyone!
I'm choosing to eat a local/BC diet for seven days for meals that I can have control over, starting on Monday, August 15th, in order to help raise money for the Growing Chefs! project, as well as share what local produce and products we have in this great city of ours. I'll post pictures and info of produce/products I use/eat for the duration, so that I can help share how much we have here that is local :)

"By supporting us, we are able to provide kids with hands-on gardening and cooking experience, and to get them excited about eating good healthy food. Each year, the demand for the program outweighs our resources. So we run campaigns like this one to try and raise funds to meet that demand. The actual cost of running a Classroom Gardening Program is about $1000 per class for the supplies, training, transportation, and labour. (We do our best to keep our administrative costs low. It's about 5% of our operating budget.) We thank you so much for your support. And we do want to remind you that as a registered non-profit, Growing Chefs! is unable to issue a registered charitable tax receipt."
